Clinical Director

The Clinical Director is responsible for the supervision of the therapy team in a residential mental health facility setting.
He/she consults with the CEO, Physician, and Utilization Review Department as needed.
The Clinical Director maintains close communication with the therapy staff, provides any information relevant to the program's operation and assist in developing and modifying the program as a whole.
He/she monitors documentation by the therapy staff in order to ensure that documentation is maintained at the highest level and is responsible to provide 24-hour management of the clinical function of the facility.
Examples of Essential Duties:
o Oversight of residential program, assuring safety of clients and safety of the unit o Provide training for case managers and behavioral health tech department o Coordinate with compliance department to establish and evaluate systems of assuring documentation iscompleted on time o Assist in the signing off on documentation and reviewing clinical documentation o Providing guidance to staff when clients are at risk for leaving treatment early o Providing guidance to staff for managing clients that are exhibiting extra unusual behavior and comingup with a plan o Audit/ edit the verbiage and process for paperwork within EMR system to ensure compliance andassistance with efficiency for clinical and behavioral staff o Find appropriate aftercare plans through research and vetting to improve case management o Evaluate patients' psycho-social needs; Carry a small caseload and run groups if needed o Document history, care plans and prepare reports as needed.
Experience Requirements:
